Diana Garza, Ph.D. (she/her/ella) is a practitioner scholar with a 21 year history in higher education. She is a STEM advocate currently serving as the Senior Assistant Dean of Student Affairs in the College of Engineering at Boise State University. She joined the College of Engineering in 2011 and is passionate about helping students pursue higher education and creating an environment where students feel like they belong and can thrive.A first generation college graduate, her educational interests include creating support networks for first-generation, rural and historically minoritized students. She has a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northwest Nazarene University and is a double alumna from Boise State with a Masters in Educational Technology and Bachelors in Communication/Journalism.
