OPWL Production Studio

Purpose
The purpose of this studio is to produce photos and videos for instructional and marketing purposes. The studio is open to all OPWL/COEN faculty/staff.
Equipment
Camera, teleprompter, microphone, lights, 5 x 7″ backdrops with four different colors, as well as bookshelves as a background.
How to reserve the room
The reservation link requires users to be logged into their Boise State account.
The OPWL Production Studio utilizes a simplified video recording setup that can be used without any previous video production experience.
- This room is intended for photo/video creation and editing only.
- Reservations are available in 90-minute blocks, up to 3 hours per day / maximum 6 hours per week.
- To use the teleprompter, you should store your script in a docx file in your Google Drive, and retrieve it from the iPad provided in the studio.
- Please NO food or drink
- When you make a reservation, you will get an email to confirm your reservation. Then, on your reserved date/time, Kori Anna Smith (kasmith@boisestate.edu, RUCH 327) will open the studio.
The design of the studio allows you to create high-quality and polished video projects without having to know anything about lights and cameras. This room features multiple portable backdrops, multiple lights (both mounted and portable), a desk and chair for use in your video. The room is also equipped with the necessary tools for post-production editing. A high-quality microphone, and the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud applications to add the professional finishing touches to your video.

If you need an editing station, there is the Creative Solutions Lab set up on the second floor in Albertsons Library. There are high-end Windows PCs (5) with the full Adobe Creative Cloud and iMacs (5) with the full Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut, and iMovie.
