Advising

We’re becoming two departments in Fall 2021

Moving into Academic Year 2021-2022, the degree that you are pursuing will be managed by a new department. While your degree will remain the same, some things might look a little different when it’s time to register. Click on these department links to learn more about the new departments and to access updated degree checklists.

Preparing for Fall Registration

Before you make an advising appointment or register for classes, take the following steps:

  1. Find your catalog year in your Academic Advisement Report (AAR) on BroncoWeb Student Center.
  2. Locate the degree checklist associated with your degree and catalog year on the information page for the new department below. The checklist shows classes that have been waived, and any changes to the classes themselves, such as new names or number of credits.
  3. Compare your degree checklist to your AAR. Once you have your degree checklist, look at your AAR to see which classes you need and mark your check sheet accordingly.

After completing these steps, you can send an email to commadvisor@boisestate.edu with your questions, or make an advising appointment at boisestate.mywconline.com

For quick questions, send an email to commadvisor@boisestate.edu. For more extensive assistance, make an appointment at boisestate.mywconline.com.

Why See an Advisor

Advisors help you with course scheduling, degree planning, managing graduation requirements, study abroad, internships, academic adjustments, and locating campus and community resources.

When To See An Advisor

You should see an advisor before you begin a degree program and check-in at least once a year.  Advisors can help when you have questions you can’t answer by reviewing your Academic Advisement Report (AAR) or if your degree plans or circumstances change. For quick questions, send an email to commadvisor@boisestate.edu. For more extensive assistance, make an appointment at boisestate.mywconline.com.

Where To See An Advisor

Due to COVID-19, advising appointments are currently held on the Google Meet platform.

Schedule An Appointment

Before  making  an advising appointment, review your Academic Advisement  Report (AAR) for updates to your requirements. You can find your AAR on your BroncoWeb Student Center. Reminder: Use the AAR for academic planning. Degree Tracker will not update to reflect any changes.
