However you arrived, Boise State University offers supportive measures to ensure safety, access, and well-being for individuals impacted by Harassment and Discrimination, including sexual misconduct, domestic violence, dating violence, or stalking—regardless of whether a formal complaint is filed.

Ways We Can Help:

Support Measures are non-disciplinary, non-punitive individualized services offered regardless of whether a Formal Complaint has been filed or whether the victim chooses to report the crime to campus police or local law enforcement.

The university will maintain a party’s privacy while providing support measures, provided it does not impair the university’s ability to provide the measures. These measures are designed to restore or preserve equal access to an Educational Program or Activities without unreasonably burdening the other party.

Safety & Protection

  • Mutual no-contact orders between parties
  • Campus safety escort services
  • Increased security and monitoring in certain areas of campus
  • Safety planning

Health & Wellness

  • Referral to confidential resources
  • Referral for 5 free counseling sessions at University Health Services
  • Referrals to community resources and self-care support

Additional Measures

  • Campus resource referrals
  • Referrals to off-campus resources
  • Support navigating university processes
  • Other individualized measures as appropriate

Academic Support

  • Class accommodations
  • Extensions of deadlines or other course-related adjustments
  • Excused absences
