Manuel Chavez Jr., a former Boise State Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) student from Weiser, Idaho, was featured in a Boise State News article about First Generation Day.
Chavez took the year-long Introduction to Computer Science Principles (CS 101) course at Weiser High School. That inspired Chavez to continue computer science studies and attend college as a first generation student. Chavez is now a senior at Boise State majoring in computer science with an emphasis in cybersecurity.
