Tuition Savings
Concurrent Enrollment is an excellent way for students to save money and get a head start on college.
- Concurrent enrollment courses taken at the student’s high school cost $75 per credit state-wide. A 3-credit course taken through the Boise State Concurrent Enrollment Program costs $225.
- Idaho concurrent enrollment students who take classes on the Boise State campus or online through Boise State pay undergraduate resident tuition which is currently $426 per credit. A 3-credit course taken directly through Boise State costs $1,278.
Advanced Opportunities
The Idaho Advanced Opportunities Program provides $4,625 in state funding to Idaho public school students. It also provides $2,500 to Idaho private school students attending a Cognia-accredited high school. Students use this funding to pay for dual credit courses, overload and workforce training courses, and AP exams.

Boise State works with high school counselors and district coordinators to make sure all eligible students have AO funding requests submitted to cover their course fees each semester.
Step 1
- Students complete course registration with Boise State.
- Students apply for funding through the Idaho Advanced Opportunities website.
Step 2
- Boise State Concurrent Enrollment teachers review their Boise State class rosters for accuracy after the Boise State CEP registration deadline passes.
Step 3
- Once class rosters are confirmed, Boise State CEP reviews course registrations against AO funding requests and continues this review through the AO verification window.
- Boise State notifies counselors/district coordinators of discrepancies, e.g. if a student is registered for a course but does not have a funding request submitted for it.
- Boise State verifies student enrollment in the AO portal after the listed course drop deadline for the term.
How to Pay without AO Funding
Students who do not qualify for AO funding must submit direct payment to Boise State for their course fees by the listed fee payment deadline each term.
