Academic Advising for Concurrent Enrollment Students

As a Concurrent Enrollment student, your academic advising needs are unique. We want to ensure that you have the most accurate information regarding your courses and how participating in our program will impact your future academic plans.

Albertsons Library

Boise State Concurrent Enrollment students can access Albertsons Library’s online and in-person resources to help complete assignments or dive deeper into a topic of interest. Library liaisons focus on specific subjects and can help students find the best resources for the topic they are focused on.

To use Albertsons Library online, simply visit the Albertsons Library web page. To access online databases, you will need your myBoiseState username and passphrase.

Writing Center

The Boise State Writing Center supports student learning with one-on-one consultations on any writing project at any stage of the writing process.

Boise State Concurrent Enrollment students can schedule an appointment with the Writing Center for help at any point during their writing process. The Writing Center can help with academic papers, career development (resumes and cover letters), applications (including college and scholarship applications), and presentations (slide decks and speeches). They promote independent inquiry, critical engagement, and creativity in writers. It is staffed by Writing Consultants who are graduate and undergraduate students that are trained to help students with writing.

Visit the Writing Center’s Make an Appointment web page to schedule an appointment. The Writing Center appointment times can fill up, so give yourself more than 72 hours to submit your papers. Whenever Boise State University is closed, the Writing Center is also closed.

Chemistry Instructional Center

The Chemistry Instructional Center (CIC) is a place where all students taking chemistry courses offered by Boise State can receive guidance on their chemistry lectures and laboratory assignments.

Math Tutoring

Concurrent Enrollment students enrolled in MATH 160, 170, 175, 254, and 275 have access to tutoring services through First-Year Math.

Boise State Advising and Academic Support Center

The Advising and Academic Support Center (AASC) provides tutoring for many Boise State classes and can assist with major exploration.

Boise State Transfer Equivalency System

The Transfer Equivalency System is a tool that allows a person to view classes from other universities and see the equivalent course(s) at Boise State. This helps to determine how credits will transfer to Boise State.

Major Exploration

Learn more about yourself and what you want out of a job before you explore various majors and careers. You can start cataloging this self-knowledge by focusing on four different categories: Personality, Interests, Skills and Values.

Idaho Jobs Explained

Idaho Jobs Explained is a web series designed to help teens and young adults explore in-demand careers across Idaho. Each episode takes viewers inside real workplaces, where Idaho Public Television hosts work alongside employees and interview professionals at different stages of their careers. Other episodes offer career advice, soft skills tips, and practical tools to support every step of the journey.

Career Services

Career Services offers career planning, network building and effective exploration from your first day at Boise State to beyond.

Idaho high school students can register for ACAD 108: Career and Life Planning, a 2-credit online concurrent enrollment course through Boise State and the Idaho Digital Learning Alliance (IDLA). Learn more with the Career Services Community Resources webpage.

Boise State Office of Information Technology (Help Desk)

The Office of Information Technology supports the technological services and systems used by Boise State. For assistance with Boise State accounts, you can reach out to the Help Desk at (208) 426-4357 or helpdesk@boisestate.edu.

Boise State Concurrent Enrollment YouTube Channel

The Concurrent Enrollment YouTube channel includes many useful tutorials and how-to videos to help students navigate concurrent enrollment processes and Boise State systems.

Bronco Card

Concurrent Enrollment students can go to the Information Desk in the Student Union Building to get their Bronco Card (student ID card) for $38. A Bronco Card allows you to check out library books, attend select on-campus activities, and ride city buses free of charge with a bus sticker.

To receive a Bronco Card, you will need to provide:

  • Your Boise State ID number.
  • A secondary photo ID.
