Boise State Isolation Housing

Boise State has a limited number of beds available for resident students who have tested positive for COVID-19. If space is available and in the absence of an off-campus isolation option, arrangements will be made to move you to isolation housing located at University Manor

If you prefer to complete your self-isolation period in an alternative location (i.e., with nearby family), you must inform Boise State Public Health of your plans (publichealth@boisestate.edu) and remain off campus until you have been cleared for return via a clearance from isolation email from Boise State Public Health. In an effort to avoid further transmission, Boise State Public Health strongly discourages individuals from traveling by public transportation if returning home to isolate themselves.

What’s expected of me when I move to isolation housing on campus?

You will work with Boise State Public Health and COVID Nursing team to temporarily move from your existing residence housing to University Manor for the duration of your isolation period. Our COVID Nursing team will help you get settled and is available 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., 7 days a week to assist you with your needs.

Our COVID Nursing Team will reach out to you daily and ask that you provide a daily check in report on how you are doing.  To protect yourself and others, you will not be permitted to visit with friends and family in person and should connect virtually or by phone until completing your isolation period. You may leave isolation to seek medical attention or to get a breath of fresh air.

Notifications

You will receive an email from Boise State Public Health with specific guidance. Be sure to review the following points:

      • How to take care of yourself in isolation and how to manage symptoms
      • Your end of isolation date, subject to change
      • Boise State’s clearance from isolation protocol

The following groups will also be notified (you will be included on all communications sent) to ensure that you receive the support that you need during your isolation period.

      • Boise State’s COVID Nursing team
      • Your faculty and the Office of the Dean of Students (if you’re enrolled in classes)
      • Your supervisor (if you’re employed on campus)
