Personal Travel

When traveling for personal reasons, employees and students should review and follow CDC guidance and considerations for domestic and international travel during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Appointment-based PCR and rapid antigen testing at the Boise State COVID Testing Center is available, voluntary and offered to all members of the campus community at no cost.

As a reminder, any campus community member exhibiting symptoms or who has come in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 should contact Boise State Public Health at publichealth@boisestate.edu or (208) 426-2968.

University Sponsored Travel

Until further notice, university sponsored travel for faculty, staff, and students must be approved by the appropriate supervisor and, if needed, in consultation with the university’s public health office.

Transportation to and from university sponsored travel can include public transportation such as air travel or for shorter distances may include employees traveling in separate vehicles, together in a single vehicle or the use of the university’s Motor Pool. Drivers and passengers are no longer required to wear facial coverings. COVID-19 protocols connected with use of the university’s Motor Pool can be found on their website. All individuals have the option to utilize Boise State COVID-19 testing resources prior to travel.

However, please note that sitting within 6 ft and for more than 15 minutes during the infectious period of someone who tests positive for COVID-19 (based on CDC guidelines and dependent on federal guidelines associated with vaccination status) may result in a requirement to quarantine.
