Bob Wood

Robert Wood is the Director of the School of Allied Health Sciences and the Assistant Dean for Research in the College of Health Sciences at Boise State University. Bob earned his PhD in Kinesiology at Louisiana State University, where he served as an assistant and associate professor for nine years, during which time he was also a founding member of the Life Course and Aging Center at LSU. Prior to arriving at Boise State University in 2018, Bob served in many administrative roles at New Mexico State University, including nine years as Department Head for Kinesiology & Dance, and two years as Interim Associate Dean for Research for the College of Education. Bob’s research interests include aging of the autonomic nervous system, age and physical function, and functional lifespan. His work has primarily been funded by the CDC and the NIH.Contact Information
