Rich is a planning-focused wealth advisor delivering proactive advice and strategies to help clients build, manage, preserve and transition their wealth.  He especially enjoys helping clients turn their wealth into a legacy to bless the people and causes they care about beyond their own lifetimes. As part of U.S. Bank Wealth Management, he partners with a team of professionals and collaborates with clients to understand their financial situation, develop personalized strategies for achieving their financial goals, and bring a holistic approach to managing their wealth.

Rich has worked in the financial services industry since 2014. Prior to that, he practiced law for seven years as an estate planning attorney with the law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy in Salt Lake City. He graduated from Brigham Young University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, followed by a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is designated as a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) by the American Banking Association.

Locally, Rich serves with several nonprofit professional organizations to promote legal ethics and the rule of law, mentor new attorneys, and advocate for better laws relating to trusts and estates. Outside of work, you might find him skiing, playing piano, or spending time with his wife, Karena, their four kids, and a dog named Maple.
