Heather Ophir

FCN Navigation and Policy Intern

Heather Ophir is a Master of Social Work intern supporting the Family Caregiver Navigator program as well as a variety of other projects within the Center for the Study of Aging. In the spring Heather will transition to a legislative internship role supporting the vital policy and advocacy efforts of the Idaho Caregiver Alliance and producing a weekly newsletter highlighting key legislative activities and resources for the community. Heather comes to this work after devoting sixteen years to secondary education and another twelve years to the fitness industry, helping children and older adults achieve self-confidence and strength while reaching functional fitness goals. Transitioning to social work feels like the natural extension of a lifetime of work helping others grow and thrive.
