CTL Announces new Mission Statement, and Invites Feedback

Person hold a mission journal in her lap

Over the last several months, the Center for Teaching & Learning has been engaged in a process to update our mission statement. We’re proud of what we’ve created, and we’d now like to share this short statement with the community we serve, along with the invitation to let us know what you think of it:

The Center for Teaching and Learning supports innovative, transformative, and equitable education at Boise State University. The CTL promotes excellent teaching, empowers educators in their ongoing growth as scholarly practitioners, and helps the university advance the public good by creating spaces for instructors to learn from one another and from experts. In collaboration with campus partners, the Center helps instructors embrace evidence-based and emerging pedagogies through experimentation, learning, and reflection. The CTL serves students by serving the educators who teach them, advocating for inclusive learning environments where every student can excel.

Please take a few moments to let us know what you think using this feedback form! Any and all of your thoughts are welcome, and will be taken into account in considering the final form of this statement which will be placed on the CTL website in October.
