This year’s CDI has two tracks: A full-day option designed for instructors who are newer to the process of course design, and a half-day option for those who have participated in previous course design workshops/institutes. For questions about which option might be best for you, please contact Teresa Focarile at email@example.com.
Participants in both tracks of the CDI will make a plan for teaching and learning activities, assessment of student learning, and providing student feedback in the target course. They will also submit a completed Course Design Table, sample course artifact and CDI reflection by August 1, 2021.
In addition, participants in the full-day option will:
- Read materials in preparation for each day.
- Attend and participate in all five days of the CDI. Monday through Thursday are full-days (9am-4:30pm, with a lunch break), and Friday will be a half-day (9am-12pm).
Participants in the half-day option will:
- Attend and participate in four half-days of the CDI (Monday-Thursday, approximately 1:00-4:30pm).
- Do course design work in preparation for each day’s meeting.
