Center for Global Education

…facilitates the comprehensive internationalization of the university and offers many opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community members to become involved in international education at Boise State.  We coordinate education abroad, National Student Exchange, faculty teaching abroad opportunities, Fulbright scholar advising, visiting Fulbright scholars support, and faculty led education abroad programs. Gender Equity Center

…empowers students to achieve their academic goals by providing educational events, support services and a safe place. Student staff create co-curricular events focused on preventing violence and learning about issues related to gender and sexual orientation, including: body image, intersections of identities, LGBTQIA+ identities, allyship, healthy relationships, consent, masculinity, and much more. Professional staff are available to conduct interactive classroom sessions on any of these topics or special topics by request. Licensed Master Social Workers provide no-cost, confidential crisis support, resources, and referrals for campus members experiencing a variety of life issues. Specialty areas for support include LGBT identity, sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. Third parties are also welcome to access resources, referrals and information.

Suggested walk-in visits include: allergy injections, vaccines, colds, flu symptoms, and other simple medical concerns.  Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served, walk-in basis. Wellness Services/BroncoFit is available to empower you in your lifelong commitment to health by providing comprehensive wellness resources and programming. Counseling Services helps students and employees tap into their strengths and find resources to deal more effectively with concerns that impact their pursuit of personal and academic/professional goals.

International Student Services

…provides the support and assistance necessary for international students to achieve their educational goals and to ensure institutional compliance with immigration regulations. ISS serves as the primary source of expertise regarding immigration and cross-cultural issues for the campus at-large. ISS acts as a welcoming center where international student needs can be met directly or referred to the appropriate university or community resource. ISS serves as a liaison between faculty, staff and international students and offers cross cultural trainings campuswide.

McNair Scholars Program

…is a federally funded grant program housed in the College of Education’s Center for Multicultural and Education Opportunities. The McNair Scholars Program is an academic achievement and graduate school preparatory program for undergraduate students who are first generation and low-income and/or underrepresented in graduate programs. The program prepares students for graduate studies through scholarly enrichment, exposure to research, and other academic experiences and opportunities. The program collaborates with Faculty Mentors to prepare McNair Scholars to successfully pursue a Ph.D. and careers in university teaching and research.

Student Equity

…works to raise awareness and understanding about marginalized and oppressed groups in both non-dominant and dominant cultures and provide opportunities to all for action and interaction. Student Equity focuses on education in the areas of development, issues of power and privilege, social justice and internalized oppression and promotes an environment where people with different values and beliefs are treated with respect and dignity. Student Equity offers a space for students to gather and a variety of services and programs, many of which are also open to faculty and staff. We work with faculty to provide classroom presentations and to bring speakers to campus.

Campus Recreation

…provides faculty, students and staff with state-of-the art facilities and a variety of programs to help foster lifelong healthy habits.  The 105,000 square foot Student Recreation Center serves as the hub for fitness programs, aquatic programs, intramural and club sports, as well as outdoor rentals, trips and seminars.  Campus Recreation programs and facilities are accessible to all full time students through activity fees and offers low cost options for part time students, faculty, staff and alumni members and their spouse/partner.

Cycle Learning Center

Children’s Center

…established in November 1979 to provide a quality child care program for the children of full and part-time Boise State students, faculty and staff. To further advance campus and community relations, alumni and community parents may enroll their children if space is available. The Children’s center is accredited through the National Association of the Education of Young Children. Our professional staff provides a model educational program for all the families it serves. Students from University Academic and Technical school programs and students from the Colleges of Education and Health Sciences are assigned to the Center for internships, field methods, and volunteer work.

Department of Public Safety (DPS)

The Department of Public Safety is your one-stop resource for keeping Boise State safe for you and your students. Our 24/7 Communications Center is always available at 426-6911. Campus Security and Police Services

Campus Security and Police Services is made up of security officers and Boise Police officers.  We are responsible for building security, grounds security, and emergency response.  Please call us for security escorts, security stand-bys, crime reporting, bike registration, vehicle unlocks, jump-starts, active shooter or other safety training, and office/room unlocks.  We are available 24/7.

Also, download the Rave Guardian Safety App Rave Guardian. The app allows users to send anonymous text or photo tips to the Department of Public Safety for suspicious or criminal activities witnessed on campus.  You can also set a safety timer to notify designated guardians while walking across campus or downtown. In addition, the “Call Public Safety” button will contact the Boise State University Department of Public Safety Communications Center (24/7) with the tap of a finger, providing the user’s information and GPS location while you are talking with our dispatcher.

Emergency Management & Continuity of Operations

Along with maintaining the campus Emergency Operations Plan, the Office of Emergency Management manages the BroncoAlert Emergency Notification System; make sure you Opt-In with your mobile device information in order to receive text messages for campus emergencies, class delays, and advisories.

We maintain facilities and grounds. Maintenance issues can be reported by calling 426-1409, sending a text message to Text-n-Fix or emailing  svcreqs@boisestate.edu.  We also provide the following support services to the campus community: Access to buildings/rooms via electronic access and keys, office moves, picking up salvage and keeping surplus for the campus to reuse, record retention, delivery of UPS, FedEx, Freight packages and a store with items for purchase, ie, batteries, bankers boxes, facial tissue, etc.
