Gadget Garage

As the pace of technology innovation quickens, faculty and staff face a changing environment full of new tools and teaching strategies. To encourage exploration and innovation with these tools, the Center for Teaching and Learning has established a Gadget Garage for Boise State faculty and staff. Among the Gadget Garage items are a variety of mobile devices, instructional books, tablet keyboards and cases, and app-centered accessories.


To Reserve a Device

  1. Review the Gadget Garage inventory and select the items that you would like to reserve.
  2. Complete and submit the Gadget Garage Reservation Form.
  3. Watch for an e-mail confirming your reservation.

NOTE: You may be asked to complete a short reflection about your Gadget Garage experience.

Checkout Policies and Inventory

  • Reserving a device is highly recommended as checkouts are available on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Reservations should be submitted at least 2 days before anticipated pick up. You will receive a confirmation from us if your reservation has been accepted, along with pickup details.
  • Device checkouts are limited to two weeks.
  • Based on availability, participants may ask to renew their checkout. Renewal requests should be sent to Every effort to extend checkouts will be made, but extensions cannot be guaranteed.
  • Gadget Garage devices can be picked up at and returned to Suite 313, Riverfront Hall.
  • All equipment must be returned in working order. Checkout participants will be responsible for replacing any device or accessory that is broken or lost.
  • Gadget Garage checkouts are subject to the discretion of the Center for Teaching and Learning. Repeated violation of program policies may result in a loss of checkout privileges.
