\"SparklersSparkshops are coming back Spring 2023!<\/h4>\n

Sparkshops are 20 minute mobile workshops where the CTL comes to you.\u00a0These mini-workshops are facilitated by a CTL staff member and are designed to be delivered in departments during faculty meetings or other teaching related gatherings.<\/p>\n

Sparkshops are meant to\u00a0spark\u00a0faculty members\u2019 interest in teaching and to catalyze departmental conversations around teaching and learning.<\/p>\n

To request a Sparkshop for your department or teaching related gathering please complete the\u00a0Sparkshop Request Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n

SparkShop Offerings<\/h4>\n
\n

Each Sparkshop will provide:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • an introduction to a specific evidence-based instructional practice (EBIP) or other teaching technique<\/li>\n
  • potential reasons faculty might incorporate the technique in their course<\/li>\n
  • examples of how the technique can be implemented in the classroom<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Sparkshops are a great way to get a brief introduction to various teaching strategies or topics important to faculty in your department and to stimulate discussions about teaching and learning among colleagues.<\/p>\n

    For faculty who were present during a Sparkshop, their participation will be added to the CTL event management system so it can be included in Faculty180.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
