Through a service-learning approach, students analyze a health issue, design and implement a solution, and evaluate its impact, all while building a portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of skills within their discipline. The open-ended structure allows students to pursue projects aligned with their career interests, while guided reflection helps them connect these experiences to their future roles as professionals, citizens, and lifelong learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This approach has led to meaningful contributions across several community partners. Students have conducted data analysis for a vaping cessation program with Central District Health, supported long-term care residents at Cascadia through engagement-based activities, created Spanish-language imaging resources for patients at St. Luke\u2019s, and developed family resources for HODIA.
