Transparency Report

In compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act (Public Law No: 118-173) Boise State University maintains and publicly reports findings of hazing violations by any student organization. In addition to outlining university anti-hazing policy information and state and federal anti-hazing laws, the report will detail any hazing violations reported to the university and linked to student organizations, including:

  • The name of the student organization.
  • A general description of the violation that resulted in a finding of responsibility, including whether the violation involved the abuse or illegal use of alcohol or drugs, the findings of the institution and any sanctions placed on the student organization by the institution.
  • The date when the incident was alleged to have occurred.
  • The date when the investigation into the incident was initiated.
  • The date when the investigation ended with a finding that a hazing violation occurred.
  • The date when the institution provided notice to the student organization that the incident resulted in a hazing violation.

Reports can be found below and are made public for at least five years.

Alpha Chi Omega

Date Investigations Initiated: November 13, 2025

Date Investigations Ended: December 8, 2025 – Organization met with the Dean of Students for an administrative conference.

Date of Incident: November 8, 2025

Type of Incident: Hazing, Alcohol

Description of Incident: During a sanctioned event, members subjected new members to inappropriate, humiliating, and degrading behavior.

Date of Charge: December 4, 2025

Sanctions:

  1. Comply with sanctions from Alpha Chi Omega headquarters
  2. Meet with Fraternity and Sorority Life coordinator bi-monthly to discuss chapter education and development
  3. Probation
Alpha Xi Delta

Date Investigations Initiated: October 20, 2025

Date Investigations Ended: December 3, 2025

Date of Incident: October 9, 2025

Type of Incident: Hazing, Alcohol

Description of Incident: Compelled alcohol consumption occurred in connection with a sanctioned event that included new members.

Date of Charge: December 1, 2025

Sanctions:

  1. Conduct educational training for hazing and alcohol
  2. Meet with Fraternity and Sorority Life coordinator bi-monthly to discuss chapter education and development
  3. Probation
