Introduction to Online Course Design

This workshop is designed to provide an introduction to the process of designing and redesigning an online course using the principles of backward course design. This workshop provides a theoretical framework for the course design process, as well as an opportunity to experience online learning from the student perspective.

This 2-week workshop covers several key aspects of course design. Faculty should plan for approximately 5-6 hours of work per week. Participants will interact with fellow faculty throughout the online learning experience, with facilitators from the eCampus Center providing feedback and support along the way. Participants may be eligible for a $200 stipend upon completion.
