What can I do with this certificate?

Students completing this certificate may work at either the Department of Health and Welfare’s Infant Toddler Program as a Developmental Specialist or for a developmental disability agency as a 0-3 Habilitative Interventionist.

Developmental Specialists provide early intervention evidence based practices through consultation and education to families and caregivers by providing routine-based interventions in the child’s natural environment (homes childcare, etc.).

Habilitative Interventionists are primarily focused on teaching adaptive skills and supporting the development of pro-social behaviors.
