Ceramics Painting

  • Date and Time: Friday, September 29th – 3:00pm – 5:00pm
  • Location: Ceramica Arthouse (location map)
  • Description: Join TRIO STEM at Ceramica Arthouse to paint some pottery! This will be a fun and low-key way to get creative and artistic. Please RSVP at the link below, spots at this event are limited. Be sure to bring your student ID! View PDF event flyer here.

Impressionist Immersive Exhibit at the Discovery Center

  • Date and Time: Saturday, October 14th -11:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • Location: We will meet by the greenhouses next to the Education Building (location map) and we will walk over to the Discovery Center
  • Description: Join us for a thought-provoking journey through art as we delve into the interdisciplinary nature of Impressionism. With more than 1,000 masterpieces from important Impressionist artists like Van Gogh, Monet and Renoir, among other esteemed artists, visitors will completely immerse themselves in a realm where famous artwork is brought to life by floor-to-ceiling projections, synchronized with captivating music and informative audio. How Money Works: Your Guide to Financial Success

  • Date and Time: Monday, October 18th – 6:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Location: Math Building, room 113
  • Description: Wendy Larson, Licensed Financial Educator, will be hosting a workshop on “How Money Works”. This session will cover how to set money goals, calculate what you need to earn, and take control of your financial life.

Pumpkin Decorating

  • Date and Time: Thursday, October 19th – 11:00am – 2:00pm
  • Location: TRIO Veterans Upward Bound Office (1885 University Dr.)
  • Description: Join us for pumpkin carving and decorating! TRIO staff will provide pumpkins, carving tools, and decoration supplies, so stop by anytime between 11:00am and 3:00pm to show us your pumpkin decorating skills! This event will be held outdoors, so please be sure to bring warm clothes.

Rake Up Boise

  • Date: November 11th (time to be announced)
  • Description: We have created a team to join thousands of volunteers to rake yards for veteran, disabled, and senior neighbors this November. Rake Up Boise™ is a beloved fall tradition for many families and one of the largest volunteer events in the Northwest. Join us to serve our community and have fun with other TRIO students. *Bonus points if you somehow have your own rake to bring!

International Potluck Feast

  • Date and Time: Thursday, November 16th – 11:00am – 3:00pm
  • Location: TRIO Community Room (Education 210)
  • Description: Join TRIO staff to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with a variety of yummy homemade dishes provided by us!
