Boise State College of Education researchers Hannah Calvert and Lindsey Turner have published new research in the Journal of Physical Activity & Health that indicates state policies are important predictors for physical activity implementation in elementary schools.
The study found physical education and physical activity policies at the state level appear to predict physical activity practices in schools, and having more comprehensive policies at the state level may be an important facilitator of school implementation of comprehensive physical activity practices.
