Jenn Mallette

Assistant Professor

Dr. Jenn Mallette earned a Ph.D. in English with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Composition from the University of Arkansas. Her current research focuses on the influence of gendered experience on writing and professional identities in engineering disciplines. Other areas of interest include the rhetoric of science, feminist science and feminist composition, and public science. She joins the Boise State Technical Communication Program faculty with experience teaching technical composition, science writing, and freshman composition as well as tutoring in university writing center environments. Dr. Mallette is active in various professional organizations, such as the Conference on College Composition and Communication, the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing, and the Council of Writing Program Administrators. Her most recent article, “The Longest Conversation about Reading You’ve Never Heard,” appears in the Fall 2014 issue of Reader.
