Associate Professor, Director of M.A. in Technical Communication
Dr. Jenn Mallette teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in technical communication, and she supports engineering students through communication-focused cross-disciplinary collaborations. Her research focuses on the influence of gendered experience on the professional identities of women engineers as well as approaches to writing pedagogy in engineering programs. Dr. Mallette is active in various professional organizations, such as the Conference on College Composition and Communication, the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing, and the American Society for Engineering Education. Her scholarship has appeared in the Journal of Business and Technical Communication, Engineering Studies, and Communication Design Quarterly.
