Boise Chamber Music Series presents the Jupiter String Quartet

The Jupiter String Quartet is now enjoying its 20th year together as a firmly established, important voice in the world of chamber music. The New Yorker claims, “The Jupiter String Quartet, an ensemble of eloquent intensity, has matured into one of the mainstays of the American chamber-music scene.” Their concert features a contrasting program of mature works from three centuries: Mozart’s final string quartet K. 590 in F, Brahms’ Op. 51 no. 2 in A minor, and Eleanor Alberga’s hard-driving String Quartet No. 2 from 1994. Alberga, born in Jamaica in 1949, was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2021 for services to British Music.Tickets and more information here
