No Broken Links: How Do We Create Resilient Supply Chains?

April 21 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm MDT

Supply chains involve the inbound transport of materials and services to their final locations and products. These supply chains can stretch oceans and continents or fit within city limits. Each supply chain is uniquely subject to disruptions which may include but are not limited to natural hazards, resource shortages, or machinery malfunctions. These disruptions have cascading impacts from the producers creating materials or services and customers benefiting from them. In this panel, we will hear from experts across different supply chain scales and materials to learn more about what it takes to develop resilient systems. The Hazard and Climate Resilience Institute will also discuss what information gaps exist and key adaptations that are needed as the climate changes and populations grow.
