Poet and essayist Cole Swensen to read at Boise State

The Boise State Department of Theatre, Film and Creative Writing present a reading by poet and essayist Cole Swensen on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in the Morrison Center Recital Hall.
Cole Swensen has authored 17 collections of poetry, a collection of critical essays, “Noise That Stays Noise,” and, most recently, “Art in Time,” a collection of hybrid poetry/lyric-essay works on innovative landscape art. Her work has won the Iowa Poetry Prize, the SF State Poetry Center Book Award and the National Poetry Series. Her work received two finalist awards for the LA Times Book Award and once for the National Book Award. A translator of contemporary French poetry, prose and art criticism, she also won the PEN USA Award in Literary Translation. She divides her time between the US and France.
Boise State Creative Writing department published Swensen’s “And And And” in a recent edition of their poetry press, “Free Poetry.”
