Family Gathering, a student art exhibition of photographs and installation by Jacob Wilson, will run in the Student Union Building Fine Arts Gallery through December 21st. Jacob Wilson creates a variety of work across video, sculpture, and photography that reflects on memory, personal history, and the fluidity of familial narratives. Through visual and narrative abstraction, the work explores how stories evolve across generations. Shaped by time, emotion, and the tension between subjective memory and objective truth, this exhibition brings voice to personal uncertainty and contemplation. Drawing on their personal life and the familial narratives they’ve heard since youth, Jacob navigates the blurred lines between what is remembered and what is true.
