Important Dates and Deadlines

  • First 7-week session begins:  May 11
  • Second 7-week session begins:  June 29
  • Air Force TA request deadline in AFVEC:  Seven calendar days prior to class start
  • Army TA request deadline in GoArmyEd:  Five business days prior to class start
  • Navy, Coast Guard, and Marines TA request deadline in WebTA:  Fourteen calendar days prior to class start


Boise State provides national testing services for students, service and community members on Mountain Home Air Force Base in addition to the Boise State campus.

Additional information about transferability of military credits and testing with CLEP and DSST is available through the Office of the Registrar.

Exams and Services Offered

CLEP® Testing

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP®) is designed to test knowledge in specific college subjects and can fulfill major requirements as well as CORE by earning qualifying scores. Approximately 2,900 colleges and universities will accept credit for successful scores. All 33 exams are administered on the computer in the Testing Services Office. Boise State was recognized as one of the top 25 National Military Test Centers worldwide in 2018 by the College Board.

Proctored Exams (MHAFB)

Proctoring for students in the Mountain Home area (either Boise State or those attending other universities and colleges). Fees are $28.50 per exam for non-Boise State students

The DSST™ Program (MHAFB)

The DSST™ credit by exam program gives students the opportunity to receive college credit for life experience as a form of prior learning assessment. Recommended for credit by the American Council on Education, the 38 exams are offered in diverse subject areas such as health, ethics, finance, and technology.
