The Institute for Inclusive & Transformative Scholarship at Boise State offers a range of opportunities for undergraduate students to gain meaningful research experience. Through the undergraduate research emphasis, gap year students gain access to the Vertically Integrated Projects program or “VIP.” Gap year students can participate in VIP 100 to gain exposure to a range of research projects, or, if they have experience in the area, they can select one to focus on.
