We provide a variety of workforce development and upskilling opportunities for local businesses and organizations, and to build a thriving community of lifelong learners invested in staying up to date with the latest technologies and their impacts.

Created by Margaret Sass, a lecturer in the School for the Digital Future, this free, self-paced course and accompanying Pressbook are designed to help seniors and adults find ways to travel safer and smoother, while encouraging them to explore the world with curiosity and joy.

AI for Seniors

Are you interested in learning more about Artificial Intelligence (AI) but don’t know where to start? AI for Seniors is a free, self-paced course that teaches you how to use AI-powered chatbots for conversation, brain-training apps to keep your mind sharp, and voice assistants to manage reminders and stay connected to loved ones.

Osher Institute

Endowed by The Bernard Osher Foundation, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Boise State University is a membership-based lifelong learning program. We offer a wide variety of college-level, non-credit programs designed for intellectually curious adults age 50 and over.

Social Impacts of Computing Group

The Social Impacts of Computing (SioC) group, located in Boise State’s School of Computing, is dedicated to exploring and shaping the evolving relationship between computing and society. SioC comprises Boise State faculty from a wide range of disciplines as well as industry/community partners with interests in the social impacts of computational innovations, particularly in fields such as machine learning, robotics and generative AI.
