Rachel Miller, MS, CGC

Rachel is an ABGC board-certified genetic counselor with 17 years of clinical genetic counseling experience. Rachel currently works at Invitae providing clinical care directly to patients via telegenetics as a cancer and cardiovascular genetics specialist. She has been at Invitae for 6 years and helped establish and grow the genetic counseling services program at Invitae. Prior to joining Invitae, Rachel worked at Kaiser Permanente Oakland for nine years, providing genetic counseling in prenatal, general pediatric, general adult, and cancer genetics settings. Rachel also worked as a cancer genetic counselor at the UCSF Cancer Risk Program and as a prenatal counselor at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco prior to working at Kaiser. Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science in counseling psychology from Northwestern University and a Master of Science in human genetics from Sarah Lawrence College. Rachel has a special interest in alternative healthcare delivery models and feels passionate about the mission of making genetic testing and genetic counseling accessible to all. Rachel is excited to bring an industry perspective to the genetic counseling students at Boise St.
