Section VI. Appeals and Conduct Processes

B. Appeals Process

The Appeals Board is a partnership between the Associated Students of Boise State University, Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities and the Student Involvement & Leadership Center.

  • A student organization must file an appeal in writing no more than five (5) business days following the Student Involvement & Leadership Center’s formal decision. The organization’s written appeal must be given to the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities.
  • The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities will review the organization’s appeal and make a decision within ten (10) business days of receiving it.  The board will notify the students in writing of their decision.
  • If the students want to appeal the decision of Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities, they may do so in writing within ten (10) business days of receiving the board’s decision. The written appeal must be submitted to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. The Associate Vice President will make the final decision on the appeal within five (5) business days of receiving it. Students will be notified in writing of her/his decision, a document that will serve as the ultimate and final decision of the appeals process.
