Several new campus facilities have been constructed with the help of donor gifts, expanding hands-on research opportunities for students and enhancing labs for our world-class scientists.
The Micron Center for Materials Research and the Center for Visual Arts will help Boise State attract top researchers, scientists, scholars and artists while providing students with state-of-the-art learning environments.
Cement Your Legacy
Alumni and friends are invited to help create a lasting legacy by investing in the Alumni and Friends Center. You can be part of this exciting project with an engraved brick in the courtyard.
For a gift of $1,000, your name, your family’s name or the name of a loved one will be permanently displayed in this beautiful outdoor space for countless visitors to see.
Center for Visual Arts
The $48 million Center for Visual Arts is a four-story, 90,000-square-foot home for all of the College of Arts and Sciences’ visual art programs. Opened in 2019 and supported by more than $5.1 million in donor contributions, the building brings together the Department of Art’s programs under one roof.
Nearly 4,000 students take courses in the center’s modern studios, equipped with up-to-date technologies and safety features, replacing outdated facilities once scattered across campus.
Micron Center for Materials Research
The $50 million Micron Center for Materials Research is a hub for campus and community innovation and the home of the recently named Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering.
Spanning 97,000 square feet, the building features research laboratories, state-of-the-art learning environments, a 250-seat lecture hall, two large classrooms and offices and workspaces for faculty, staff and graduate students — all dedicated to advancing materials research at Boise State.
