Quick tips for Academic Advisors

  • Education abroad credit is residency credit, students can take their last 30 credits abroad. However, it can be difficult to find a perfect course schedule abroad and it can be challenging to finish course work while abroad. Students must notify GLO in writing ahead of time if they plan to graduate at the end of their time abroad.
  • Federal financial aid (except work study) and Boise State scholarships apply to all programs.
  • There are significant scholarships available for education abroad.
  • Grades earned abroad do count back at Boise State; classes are not graded as pass/fail.
