One-on-One Writing Coaching
Work with a GSSC writing coach – online or in person – for any kind of graduate-level writing project.

We offer individual formatting support for theses and dissertations, including:
- Help using Boise State’s official templates
- Tips for clean formatting and layout

GradWrite: Writing Retreats & Peer Community
GradWrite is a series of writing retreats and events designed to help graduate students make steady progress on their writing while building a sense of community.
Writing can often feel isolating, especially in graduate school. GradWrite retreats give you dedicated space and time to focus, alongside other students who are also working on big writing goals like thesis chapters, proposals, or job documents.
Each retreat allows you to:
- Dedicate focused time to writing
- Set goals and build momentum
- Connect with fellow graduate students
- Receive guidance and encouragement from GSSC writing coaches

GradSkills: Custom Writing Workshops
Our GradSkills program brings writing and formatting workshops to departments, classrooms, and student groups. We cover topics like:
- Citations and referencing
- Navigating the thesis/dissertation process
- Common writing challenges
