GradSkills – Designing and Facilitating Activities for the Classroom and Beyond – Series 4
April 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm MDT

Over the course of their academic and professional careers, students and employees are asked to design and implement a variety of learning and group-building activities. In higher education, graduate students will present activities in their courses, especially those that are teaching assistants and/or are pursuing a career in education, advocacy, and other helping professions. This workshop series will offer students the opportunity to engage with faculty and peers in a series of three interactive workshops that demonstrate the effective facilitation of activities, offer valuable feedback on participants’ activity design, and provide a supportive space for students to facilitate their activities. A rubric will be provided to participants with additional feedback on their final activity. Participants that attend all three workshops will receive a certificate of completion and credit can be applied to the Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education offered through the CTL.
