Title: Novel Memristor Based True Random Number Generator

Program: Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Advisor: Dr. Kris Campbell, Electrical and Computer Engineering

Committee Members: Dr. Elisa Barney, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Dr. Kurtis Cantley, Electrical and Computer Engineering

Abstract

The memristor is the fourth fundamental circuit element. A true random number generator is designed using a memristor device to capture entropy. This thesis discusses the design, fabrication, and characterization of the novel memristor-based TRNG.
