Alumni and Friends

Boise and Treasure Valley residents care about the College of Health Sciences at Boise State University because they understand that our future health care workforce depends on the success of today’s students. Graduates of the health sciences at Boise State University will become our nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, radiologic technologists and other professional medical specialists. We all want high quality health care and that means we need well educated and experienced health care providers and health care leaders.

The generous donations received by the Boise State Foundation provide scholarships to students, faculty fellowships, research grants, and support to the brightest and best. The vision of Boise State to become a metropolitan research university of distinction is well on its way because of the success of the Destination Distinction Campaign completed in August, 2011. The $175 million goal was exceeded by over $10 million! Part of that total is being used to improve the quality of places, programs and people in the College of Health Sciences. This lofty goal was met only because the vision was shared with broad public and constituencies of Boise State University through the devotion of time, advocacy, volunteerism, philanthropy and related means.

Of course the road to becoming a research university of distinction has only begun.  Please take a moment to look at our College Case Statement to find out more about the new Strategic Plan and new goals and vision for the College of Health Sciences.

I’m sure that you will find many ways that you can invest in helping to make our dream of advancing the College to be leaders and partners in health innovation and discovery.
