Camille Stover, program director of the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care program and clinical associate professor in the School of Respiratory Care Sciences, received the 2025-2026 College of Health Sciences Exceptional Faculty Service Award. Stover’s long history of exceptional service at the school, college, and professional levels focuses on expanding student opportunities and propelling the field of respiratory care forward.
The Exceptional Faculty Service Award is given to a faculty member who has demonstrated extraordinary service. This person has exhibited a strong culture of involvement and commitment to Boise State by participating in numerous and/or meaningful activities impacting the faculty member’s department, the college, the university, and/or the community.
A few examples include Stover’s work to expose countless high school students across the valley to health professions through HOSA – Future Health Professionals, a student-led organization that empowers students to become leaders in global health through education, collaboration, and experience.
As a member of the board of the Idaho Society for Respiratory Care, Stover has worked to increase opportunities for students to interact with the national organization, even securing board approval for financial support for students to attend national meetings.
In her role as program director, she has expanded the curriculum to include a research arc to support strategic initiatives to increase research activity. This has resulted in an increase in student-driven research presentations at the international level.
“Camille can be credited with supporting student growth through the thoughtful creation and facilitation of opportunity,” Megan Koster, divisional dean of the School of Respiratory Care Sciences, said. “Her work at the national level has highlighted Boise State’s reputation as one of the top educational institutions across respiratory care.”
