Oaklee Rogers

Dr. Oaklee Rogers is a distinguished academic leader and occupational therapy professional with over 15 years of experience in higher education administration. Dr. Rogers serves as the Associate Dean for the College of Health Sciences at Boise State University. Previously, she served as the Associate Dean for the College of Health and Human Services at Northern Arizona University and as the Department Chair for the Occupational Therapy (OT) Program. Dr. Rogers has designed and taught numerous courses in education, leadership, mental health, and scholarship. 

Dr. Rogers is a highly accomplished professional in the field of occupational therapy who has demonstrated remarkable academic and professional growth throughout her career. Beginning as an occupational therapy assistant, she progressively advanced her education by earning her Associate of Applied Science degree, followed by a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Her academic journey continued with a post-professional doctorate emphasizing administration and practice management, and ultimately culminated in a Ph.D. focused on fathers’ lived experiences with addiction.  

Throughout her career, Dr. Rogers has successfully published in peer-reviewed journals, obtained grant funding, and presented at state, national, and international conferences. Her research interests focus on designing and implementing OT programs for individuals with substance use disorders and best practices for clinical education. 

As a servant leader, Dr. Rogers has held various leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels throughout her career. She also serves as a reviewer for journals and numerous conferences. Due to her service to the field, the Arizona Occupational Therapy Association awarded her the Outstanding Occupational Therapist of the Year in 2017 and the Lorna Jean King Distinguished Achievement Award in 2024.
