Notice Regarding Foreign Collaboration & Funding Eligibility Applicable to all IDeA Programs.
In accordance with the specific eligibility requirements of the IDeA Program, foreign components are strictly prohibited. What this means for you: Per the NIH notice of award for the Healthy Idaho CTR-D a foreign component includes any significant scientific element of a project performed outside of the U.S. This specifically includes:
- Co-Authorship: Collaborations with investigators at a foreign institution that result in co-authorship on a publication.
- Zero-Dollar Collaborations: This restriction applies regardless of whether or not any funding is involved.
Compliance Warning: “Recipient is not eligible for funding under the Agreement or to retain any funding under the Agreement absent compliance with the requirements regarding foreign collaboration.”
