Hemingway Center History

Hemingway Center History

In 1986, the building was dedicated with the Hemingway family name as “an educational research and exhibition center” by then University President Kaiser.

With its beautiful interior and central location along the main pedestrian corridor on campus, the Hemingway Center building is nestled right at the heart of campus. Boise State University is the only university in the world to have the Hemingway family name given to a campus center. We are honored to house such a world-class center with a passionate commitment to culture and the humanities.
