Career and Professional Development Information

Develop your skills and put them to work!

History graduates are competitive and successful across many industries and career paths. Perhaps surprisingly, only about 16% become elementary and high school teachers. Equal percentages go into law-related occupations (16%) or become managers, supervisors, and chief executives (16%). Others go into history-related fields such as museum curation and administration, library services, or government positions. Still others go on to work in fields as diverse as finance, administration, sales, medicine, and social work. Plus, data shows that History majors go on to be top earners in their chosen careers!
