Eligibility to Live on Campus

In order to live on campus, you must be admitted to the university and enrolled in 8 or more credits by the time you physically move into campus housing. First priority goes to full-time students.

Additional eligibility requirements apply as follows:

First-Year Students

Chaffee, Driscoll, Honors College and Sawtooth, Keiser, Morrison, Taylor, Clearwater, Payette, and Selway Suites

You must meet the following criteria:

  • 19 years old or younger
  • Graduated high school the spring term before you plan to live on campus

Sophomore and Above

Aspen, Cedar, Hawthorne, Juniper, Tamarack, and Spruce Townhomes, Honors College and Sawtooth, University Square

You must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Sophomore class standing (26 credits+), OR
  • At least 20 years of age at the time of move-in, OR
  • Successfully lived on campus for at least one year, OR
  • Graduated high school at least one year prior to move-in,

Apartments

You must be enrolled in 8 or more credits and meet one of the following criteria:

  • Sophomore class standing (26+ credits), OR
  • At least 20 years of age at the time of move-in, OR
  • Qualify as a head of household with dependents, OR
  • Lived 2 consecutive semesters in the residence halls, suites, or townhomes

Other situations will be looked at on a limited, individual basis. If you don’t meet these requirements but feel you have extenuating circumstances, contact Housing and Residence Life for consideration.
