HR’s strategic goals:

The HR team works to advance three primary areas to build strategic partnerships, foster employee engagement and growth, and modernize processes to empower the workforce to champion the mission and values of Boise State University.

  • BUILD PARTNERSHIPS: Position HR as a strategic partner, optimizing HR services and driving positive outcomes through expert guidance, consultation and collaborative campus relationships.
  • ENGAGE AND DEVELOP: Enhance employee engagement and development initiatives to directly equip and support an engaged workforce to more effectively serve students, the local community, and Idaho.
  • MODERNIZE PROCESSES: Automate, update, and streamline HR services and processes by leveraging electronic solutions in order to continuously improve administrative efficiencies.

Bill Brady, Chief Human Resources Officer

Bill Brady is the Chief Human Resources Officer and has been supporting the Bronco community since August 2023. As a member of the President’s Executive team, he serves as a critical advisor on all human resources issues, including strategic planning, guidance on policies, and driving business goals that connect to employee success. He leads the HR teams as they collaborate with campus employees on recruiting and hiring, employee benefits, professional and leadership development, payroll and operations, compensation and data analytics, employee relations and employee engagement.

Brady earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Washington College.

Prior to joining Boise State, Brady served as Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resources Officer at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to UMass Amherst, Brady served as Assistant Vice President for Employee and Labor Relations at the University of Oregon, and was System Director for Employee Benefits and Compensation at the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
