Fall Songbird Banding on the Boise River

Join the Intermountain Bird Observatory crew for a morning of songbird banding at our beautiful Boise River site! Our trained biologists will be catching, banding, and releasing wild songbirds all morning as part of our standardized fall migration monitoring protocol. You will have the opportunity to watch our scientists work and may get to hold out your hand to release a bird once we’ve finished banding it.
