Our fall Owl Banding project at our Lucky Peak Research Station is open for visitors nightly (weather depending). Small groups of non-camping visitors are welcome to drop in any time. Groups larger than 10, or groups of any size who want to camp overnight will need to register in advance. For more information on when and how to visit, check out our Lucky Peak project page.
As we continue to recover from the pandemic, we’ve worked with Boise State to implement safety protocols for all visitors in 2021.
We are thrilled to be able to host visitors again! Please be aware that our station guidelines may be amended with short notice following Boise State policy based on changes in infection rates, the emergence of new variants, or changing local, state and federal guidelines.
- Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are strongly encouraged to continue wearing facial coverings. This includes any children over 2 years of age.
- Visitors should continue to physically distance themselves from others when possible. This is an outdoor station with plenty of room to spread out around the banding station. Please respect other visitors’ personal space.
