50 Years of Excellence: Boise State Athletic Training Masters Program Achieves 100% Pass Rate

The 2026 graduating class in the Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program at Boise State posted a 100% first time Board of Certification pass rate, compared to the national average of 68% first time pass rate for all programs in the country!

Over the past five years, the Boise State AT program has one of the highest first time pass rates in the country at 95%, compared to the five year aggregate of 71%. As a result, 100% of graduates are employed prior to graduation or within 3 months of completing the MAT degree here at Boise State University.

The upcoming 2026-2027 academic year also represents the 50th Anniversary of a stand alone Athletic Training degree and program in the School of Kinesiology. Announcements regarding alumni and friends celebrations are forthcoming.

The School of Kinesiology is proud of the achievements of these MAT students, now Board Certified athletic trainers, as well as the continued success and legacy of Boise State’s MAT program.
